This twenty-eight mile project consists of vertical realignment of sections of I-15 as well as adding a two mile truck climbing lane, and minor realignment of ramps at the Logandale and Overton interchanges. With over twenty-five thousand feet of vertical realignment, we set over five thousand stakes for this portion of the project alone! These points included two plane of paving (POP) stakes and three cuts to the bottom of milling every twenty-five feet. Mill and pave operations require slope grading along portions of the project. This project was full of field fit scenarios which required on-the-fly changes per NDOT’s direction in order to keep the job flowing smoothly.
