The “F” Street bridge connects the historic west side to the downtown area. This project contains many improvements to the esthetics of “F” Street including widening sidewalks, tree boxes and murals on the abutment walls. The project also includes utility relocation along the “F” Street corridor. The project contains three bridges, including separate bridges for I-15 North bound and South bound, and “D” Street onramp/I-15 to US-95 ramp bridge. The project includes standard retaining walls, as well as MSE walls, and architectural towers. The Barajas Group was responsible for the layout of all new construction as well as as-built surveys of existing utilities that needed to be redesigned. Teamwork and cooperation with the community has been an important aspect of this project.
